Selection of the finest merino virgin wool and cashmere yarn. Natural fibres of animal origin. Used to manufacture socks with excellent performance when it comes to softness, fit, thermoreguatory capacity and breathability. Cashmere wool is produced by goats of the asian region of Kashmir, an area characterized by decidedly inhospitable conditions. This wool has unique quality and insestimable value, thanks to its extreme softness, lightness and the extraordinaty capacity of protecting equally from low and high temperatures natural characteristics are due to the very structure of the fibre. This comes from the flocculent underfleece, fine and soft, produced by the goat on its belly from midsummer until the end of winter. Cashmeres insulating power can be ten times greater than common wool.
Mulesing is an extremely painful treatment practised without anaesthetic on merino sheep, characterised by removing the wool and the entire layer of dermis from the perianal area, including cutting the tail. Mulesing is widespread in Australia because farmers believe it is the only real alternative to fighting flystrike, or Myiasis - the fly larvae infection - without considering alternatives that do not cause the animals to suffer. We are committed to choosing the best "mulesing-free" crtified yarns, because we oppose cruelty to animals, and we believe this is a necessary ethical act.
The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certifies the absence in textile products of substances that maybe carcinogenic, allergenic, irritant and more generally harmful to human health. Oeko-tex Standard 100 is the most important label in the textile industry. The certified products comply with the requirements of Annex XVII of the Reach regulation (including the use of azo dyes, nickel release, etc.) as well as with the American law provisions concerning the lead content in infant and toddler products (CPSIA).
The twisted yarn is obtained via a specific spinning technique that combines and twists different yarns together, transforming them into a single and more resistant yarn. This procedure makes the yarn more durable and softer.

Provate durante uscita alpinistica, ottima scelta, davvero confortevoli, peccato averle scoperte in ritardo!
